Epoxy Floor Coatings

At FLOORX, Industries, epoxy floor coatings are more than just a great-looking finish — they’re a durable protective system for new or existing concrete. Epoxy is a liquid resin combined with a hardening agent that cures to the surface to provide a tough, long-lasting floor with an amazing showroom-like aesthetic.

Epoxy flooring has a wide range of customized colors and finish options, suited to many areas such as garages, living rooms, rumpus rooms, alfresco areas, laundries, cafes, workshops, gyms, and offices.

  1. Approach & Process (Epoxy Floor Coatings)

How much does concrete grinding cost on the Gold Coast?
In Queensland, concrete grinding prices typically range from $25 to $50 per square metre for surface preparation and glue removal. For premium finishes like Honed Concrete or Grind and Seal, prices can range from $50 to $90+ per square metre. Total costs depend on the slab’s hardness (MPA), the size of the area, and the current condition of the concrete.
Is the concrete grinding process messy or dusty?
At FloorX Industries, we use advanced HEPA-filtered dust extraction systems that attach directly to our planetary grinders. This allows for a 99% dust-free process, making it safe to grind concrete inside furnished homes, retail shops, or offices without contaminating the air or surrounding surfaces.
How do I know if my concrete is suitable for grinding?
Most concrete slabs can be ground, but the result depends on the MPA (strength) and the age of the concrete. We perform a Mohs Hardness Test during our initial site visit to determine if your slab is "soft," "medium," or "hard." This ensures we use the correct diamond tooling to achieve a flat, durable finish.
Can you remove old tile glue, epoxy, or carpet mastic?
Yes. We specialize in mechanical surface preparation. Using specialized PCD (Polycrystalline Diamond) scrapers, we can quickly strip away stubborn adhesives, thick epoxy coatings, waterproof membranes, and old leveling compounds, leaving a clean substrate ready for new flooring.
How much does concrete grinding cost on the Gold Coast?
Costs typically range from $25 to $70 per square metre depending on the concrete hardness, the size of the area, and the desired finish (prep vs. honed).
Is concrete grinding a messy process?
At FloorX Industries, we use high-performance industrial HEPA-filter vacuums attached to our grinders, making the process 99% dust-free and safe for indoor environments.
How long does it take to grind a garage floor?
Most residential garage floors can be ground and prepped within a single day, depending on the current condition of the slab and any existing coatings.
Do you service areas outside of the Gold Coast?
Yes, we provide professional concrete grinding and floor preparation services across the Gold Coast, Brisbane, and throughout Queensland.
